An elf warrior was exploring some old ruins, but didn't notice the tentacle come out of a crack in the wall and grab her ankle. The creature pulled, sending the elf down on her back.
As she cursed at the beast and tried to pick up her sword, more tentacles came out of hiding and headed toward her arms and legs...
Elf Warrior: "Damn tentacles, I'm going to cut you in pieces!"

I have to admit that I'm rooting for the tentacles here ... perhaps I evolved from the early tentacle beasts that settled this world and eventually turned into whatever race you humans call us today ... but watching them carefully embrace their victim, explore and penetrate her various openings and, poison her flesh with their various toxins and then slowly consume her in the way which amuses them most ... it all reminds me so much of home. How not to hope her sword fails her?
