Cutting ties

Xila: "I.. I can't believe I did this."

Lavina: "How are you feeling?"

Xila: "I'm not sure. I think.. relieved?"

Lavina: "Good. Remember, he's the one who told you what to do and what you couldn't do, every single day, and prevented you from reaching your full potential."

Xila: "But he was also my Master."

Lavina: "He was a Jedi, and as such he was weak. With just a few tips from me, you managed to ambush and kill him."

Xila: "Is this how it was for you too?"

Lavina: "Yes. The day I killed my Jedi Master, a year ago, I became someone else. Someone finally unbound by the chains of oppression, the Jedi Code and the Council."

Xila: "A Sith?"

Lavina: "Not exactly. I'm a Force user who knows her worth. I use my powers the way I want, to get what I need to survive. I don't want to conquer the Galaxy, I just want to see Force users compete openly in the world, unbound by artificial restrictions."

Xila: "I hope this was the right thing to do."

Lavina: "A bit late for cold feet, isn't it? But don't worry, we're on Nar Shaddaa, the world of opportunities, where two Force users can eliminate entire gangs of thugs and take control of their sectors, without the Republic telling us it's wrong, or the Empire trying to take it away. Here, we can stay underground and show those living here what we can do. You'll see, we're going to be free and powerful."
